Event 1: Class of 1968 Annual Picnic: We decided for our annual picnic this year to join with the All 60's picnic since it's earlier this year, September 11th. Below is the flyer with all the information. Please read carefully--you'll be glad you did. Please note: Classes of 1966 and 1967 are also holding their picnics at this event. Hope to see you there. Where : LIBERTY STATION PARK ( Old N.T.C. )
When : SUNDAY, Sept. 11th 2011
Time : Between 10 & 11 AM to 4:00 PM
Cost : $1.oo ( Towards Permit Fee )

Join in on the Activities :
" Old Pharts / Young Hearts Bike Ride "
BIKE RIDE Starts at 9:00 AM
Also : BOCCE BALL > FUN 4 ALL > All Day
( If Anyone has a SET, We Could Sure Use Another )
CAR SHOW : The Greatest show on Turf ( 9 - 2 )
This event will be located about 2 blocks north of our picnic area.
( We can cruise by the car show at the end of the bike ride ).

NO SMOKING
NO ALCOHOL
NO GLASS CONTAINERS
PLAN TO TAKE HOME WHATEVER YOU BRING WITH YOU.
DO NOT DISCARD ANYTHING IN STORM DRAINS ( THIS INCLUDES ICE FROM COOLERS )
NO BALLOONS ( SINCE WE ARE CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT FLIGHT PATH )
WHAT TO BRING :
PAST REUNION NAME TAG : ( These work better than the hand written stickies )
LAWN / BEACH CHAIRS
COOLERS / TABLES ( If you desire )
THE SHADE IS LIMITED - You may wish to bring > UMBRELLA / Small CANOPY
( We cannot put stakes into ground more than 3" because of the irrigation pipes )
BOCCE BALL ( Anyone that has a set is welcome to bring it - We may need it )
PLASTIC BAG - ( For Trash if necessary )
BICYCLE - LIBERTY STATION IS A GREAT AREA FOR AN EASY BIKE RIDE
( If you wish to ride, try to arrive around 9:00 AM, so we can start by 9:15).
LOCATION : LIBERTY STATION IS AT THE OLD NAVAL TRAINING CENTER.
PICNIC WILL BE EAST OF CUSHING RD. BETWEEN FARRAGUT RD. AND WOMBLE RD.
LOOK FOR THE BIG TREE NEXT TO THE RESTROOMS.
NOTE : The car show and the Rock Church will increase the traffic.
Therefore, I would recommend using Harbor Dr. and avoid using Rosecrans.
FROM No. HARBOR DR. ( AIRPORT ) (VIA I-5) :
TURN RIGHT ON LANING ROAD ( 1st TURN AFTER BRIDGE),
GO RIGHT ON CUSHING ROAD.
TURN RIGHT ON EITHER FARRAGUT RD. or WOMBLE RD. to PARK.
FROM NIMITZ BLVD. (VIA I-8) :
GO TO END OF NIMITZ & VEER LEFT (at LIGHT) ONTO HARBOR DRIVE.
TURN LEFT ON LANING ROAD ( AT LIGHT BEFORE BRIDGE),
GO RIGHT ON CUSHING ROAD.
TURN RIGHT ON EITHER FARRAGUT RD. or WOMBLE RD. to PARK.
NOTE :
THEY USUALLY HAVE 3000 to 4000 FOLKS AT THE ROCK CHURCH SERVICES.
I CALLED THE ROCK CHURCH AND THEIR MORNING SERVICES START AT 8:00, 10:00 & 12:00.
THE DURATION IS APPROX. 1.5 HOURS. FOR THOSE COMING DOWN ROSECRANS,
AVOID THE CHURCH AREA (ROSECRANS & FARRAGUT) FROM 9:15 to 10:20 and 11:15 to 12:15.
THERE ARE PLENTY OF CHOICES FOR FOOD WITHIN 3 BLOCKS.

Loc: Liberty Station Park (Just North of the COURTYARD by MARRIOT)
- When: Sun. Sept 11th 11 am - 4 pm
- Cost: $1.00 donation request towards cost of permit
- B. Y. O. P .B (bring your own picnic basket)
- No Alcohol, No Smoking allowed at city parks per permit
- Parking: FREE
