Around Hoover, 2004

There isn't much left of the old school. I (Dan Vint, the Alumni Association webmaster) visited Hoover in Dec 2004 on a rainy day, as you can see in these pictures. As you enter through the front gates you will see the portion of the old school auditorium that is still there and the old corner stone from the original Hoover building.

Don't worry, the marks on the stone are just stains from the rain.

In the cafeteria you can find the Hall of Fame and Achievement display. Here you will find pictures from each class year.

In the Marlowe Kreheil Counseling Office is this huge trophy case. It was so large that I couldn't get the last case in the picture. Here you will find the football trophies along with trophies for the chess club, speech contest, and marching band. It is a very impressive collection.

In the back of the campus are the few remains of the old campus. The boys and girls gyms are still here. Cardinal pride is still evident as shown with the bird on the side of the boys gym. In addition to the gyms the old history and English building still stands.

The football field and track are in the same place, but they were never this good! I hope no one was on the field because of the rain. These pictures were taken through the fence on the street side of the field.
